දේවානම්පියතිස්ස රජ සමයට එහා දිවෙන බවට සැලකෙන කහටගස්දිගිලිය ගුරුගල්හින්න පුරාවිද්‍යා සොහොන් භූමියට මීටර් 200ක් නුදුරින් පිහිටි පහළ කුඩාපට්ටිය ප‍්‍රදේශයෙන් රත‍්‍රන් සෙම්බුවක් වැනි දෙයක් මතුවී,හිරු දෙසට ඇදී යන ආකාරය එම ප‍්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි වයස අවුරුදු 14ක පිරිමි දරුවෙකු විසින් දැක තිබේ.
පසුගිය 20වැනිදා සවස තම නිවසේ ඇති කරන ගවයන් යළි නිවසට රැුගෙන ඒමට අදාළ ප‍්‍රදේශයට ගිය අවස්ථාවේදී තමන් රත‍්‍රන් සෙම්බුව වැනි දෙයක් දුටු බවත්,එම අවස්ථාවේදී තමා සන්තකයේ තිබූ ජංගම දුරකතනයෙන් එය ඡයාරූපගත කළ බවත් එම සිදුවීමට මුහුණ දුන් කි‍්‍රෂාන්ත චාමල් පේ‍්‍රමතිලක පැවසීය.
‘මමයි,අම්මයි,ආච්චියි හරක් ගේන්න ගියා.හරක් පනීවි කියලා අම්මා මට යන්න කිව්වා.තාරපාරෙන් පැනලා එද්දී දිලිසෙන දෙයක් දැක්කා.ළංවෙලා බලද්දී සෙම්බුවක් වගේ දෙයක් දැක්කේ.අතට අරගන්න හදද්දී හෙල්ලි හෙල්ලි උඩට යන්න ගත්තා.එවිට මගේ තිබුණ ෆෝන් එකෙන් ෆොටෝ හතරක් විතර ගත්තා.ඊටපස්සේ මම ග‍්‍රාමසේවක මහත්තයාටයි,ප‍්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ පරිසර නිලධාරීතුමියටයි කිව්වාම ඒ අය ඇවිත් බලලා ගියා’යනුවෙන් තමා මුහුණ දුන් අත්දැකිම ඔහු එසේ විස්තර කළේය.
කහටගස්දිගිලිය කුඩාපට්ටිය මහා විද්‍යාලයේ 10වැනි ශ්‍රේණියේ ඉගෙනුම ලබන නිශාන් චාමල් වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසුවේ විනාඩි දෙක තුනක් ගැහෙමින් තිබූ රත‍්‍රන් පැහැති සෙම්බුව වැනි දෑ හිරු දෙසට ඇදී ගිය බවයි.
A schoolboy had reportedly taken a photograph of a mysterious object that he had seen lying on the ground near an abandoned cemetery in Gurugalhinna, Kahatagasdigiliya that was preserved by the Department of Archaeology. It had looked like a golden plate and it had floated away towards the sun when he tried to pick it up.
This object had been seen near the cemetery by a grade ten boy named Nishantha Chamapal Prematilake (15) as he and his mother Sujatha Chandrasekera were driving their cattle home on February 20.When the boy went up to this shining object that was lying under a neem tree, it had been vibrating, according to him.
When he reached for the object, which was like a golden plate, it had slowly floated up.
He had then taken four photographs of it as it had disappeared into the sunset.
The boy’s mother, Sujatha Chandrasekera (37) said.“I went with my son, leading the cattle, to this cemetery. He told me that a golden plate had gone up but I did not believe him. However, I saw the four photographs taken by him. My father was employed in the Archaeological Department. Ac cording to him, this cemetery was reputed to be a place where the nobility had been buried in ancient times.
The people in the area said that the boy seemed quite sincere and that they believed he was speaking the truth.
